2. Evenly spread the germinated seeds on the planting soil. It is pretty dense as observe. Leaves the seeds to stay on top of the planting soil.
3. Spray some water after the seed evenly spread on the planting soil, moisture the soil for making it becomes suitable for seed sprouting.
4. This is the most important step. Cover the sprouting tray with a plastic bag. You could cover with the courier service bag. Move the sprouting tray in indoor are to avoid direct sunlight. Perform daily watering, perhaps, this also a good opportunity to experience the wheatgrass growth.

Papaya is one of the common tropical fruits in Malaysia. Recently, there are several potential outbreaks in papaya planting estate. Papaya dieback disease is the most serious outbreak which planter should beware of.

Dieback Disease is a commonly found disease in many papaya plants. Use proper organic compost and planting soil to ensure a healthy grow.

What is Papaya Dieback Disease?

Papaya dieback is a disease-causing by Erwinia psidii bacteria. A Plant that affected by this bacteria will cause rot in branches, flower and fruit. The disease always develops from the stem and slowly migrated to the leave.

Since the plant vascular is rotten, this cause the nutrient transfer from the root to the tree is affected. The insufficient nutrient supply will lead the plant toward low survivability and eventually plant death.

How the Bacteria Transfer to Papaya tree

There are many transmission methods for the Erwinia psidii or E psidii transfer to papaya tree. Contamination soil or tools are the most suspicious root cause for the transfer of bacteria. Beware of plant handling too!

Chicken Manure

The E psidii is a pathogen disease which could come from a rotten plant. This is the reason why CH Biotech is always emphasizing in fermented temperature. A high fermented temperature, 60 degrees and above is the necessity for manufacture quality compost. In CH Biotech, we ensure our compost is going through a high temperature fermented process.

Another source of the pathogen bacteria could come from chicken manure. In papaya planting, many planters have used chicken manure as the fertilizer source. Unfortunately, this may cause pathogen risk to the tree and farm.

It is not easy to recover a papaya tree if it already infected with the Epsidii disease. The planter shall completely remove the infected papaya tree to ensure terminate the disease. Planter shall also discard all the chop down the infected tree from the planting area. Meanwhile, beware of tools contamination.

CH Biotech is a famous compost manufacturer in Malaysia. Recently MM Garden, an organic garden decoration company, contacted us for developing dedicates organic fertilizer soil for succulent plants. There are many organic fertilizer soils available in the market however most of the recipe was designed for agriculture plant. Know more about Cocopeat
Cocopeat is a primary agriculture medium used in some agriculture farm. Even though it is a very common planting medium unfortunately you may not be able to buy this agriculture substance in any gardening farm. CH Biotech does have cocopeat in our factory and we are selling those cocopeat to a farmer who needs it.

Some readers had asked us about whether cocopeat could replace organic compost. Cocopeat and organic compost are two difference agriculture substances, both serve a different purpose. We will explain some basic knowledge about Cocopeat.

What is Cocopeat

Cocopeat is a substance from coconut husk. It is difference then coconut fibre or coir. During the manufacturer remove the coir from a coconut, debris is generated during the process. The debris is the cocopeat. Cocopeat is not the same as coconut fibre, or coir. Cocopeat is having a characteristic that it is good in water absorption and also loose enough to promote air penetrating within the material.

Even though cocopeat is an organic substance however it does not contains any nutrient. In other words, cocopeat could not be the sole material in planting. Many fertilizer formulations have included cocopeat as one of the composition.

Cocopeat is a planting medium for potting mix soil,hydroponic planting and soil conditional. Cocopeat could become such a friendly plating medium because of below characteristic:
1. An organic substance which shows good resistant to bacterial and fungal growth.
2. Good water retention capability. Could hold up to 6 times of water by weight.
3. Promote porous structure to the soil.

How to Plant with Cocopeat

The organic cocopeat is suitable for many crops. For certain crops like chili or precious flower, while planter would like to have a controllable planting condition, they will select cocopeat as the medium.

We are seeing some nursery is using cocopeat as the primary medium for small crop especially planting at the beginning stage. Once the crop is growing up, the gardener will move the small crop for a bigger pot for planting purpose.

The cocopeat could also be placed in a pot and a control amount of nutrient solution will be added accordingly. The plant will have less variation under this condition.
